Concussion

Concussion

Do you know what a concussion is? It  is quite a hot topic right now, and we feel Ted-Ed explains concussion in such a great manner that we shared it here for you to see.

Now that you know what a concussion is, what are you going to do with that knowledge?

Our Protocol

We know there is an urgent problem in the current evaluation and treatment of concussions and mild traumatic brain injuries. The antiquated protocol in conjunction with lack of diagnosis or treatment is resulting in severe physical symptoms and emotional/behavioral changes that often transform injuries into chronic conditions that can last for months to years.

To mitigate the debilitating effects of concussions and mild traumatic brain injuries, our team has created and will utilize a revolutionary protocol of evaluating and treating our patients.

This protocol drastically decreases the risk of second impact syndrome, post-concussion syndrome and death, which will return our patients back to their lives with improved cognitive, emotional, anatomical, and physiological function functioning at a higher level of performance than their original baseline test.

The measurements of success in brain and nervous system recovery will be demonstrated by physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral improvements. Examples of enhancements may include: attention, concentration, short term memory, patience, temper, reaction time, and mental and emotional balance.

CSF Flow

One of the biggest issues of a concussion is the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). You've learned a little bit about it in the Ted-Ed talk above. We wanted to show you the CSF flow of someone who had an MRI before they had an adjustment at Cooperstown Chiropractic, and after. The difference is amazing!
